Ladyfest
Ladyfest is a celebration of the achievements of women, primarily in spoken word, music and the arts. It is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis, with money raised being donated to women's charities. Although it is organized predominantly by women the festival is open to all (with the exception of a few of the workshops). Founded in Olympia, Washington, Ladyfests have become an international series of events in cities including Glasgow, Chicago, Amsterdam, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Hamburg, Melbourne and others.
